In accordance with the cooperation agreement signed between intep and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST), and in response to China’s goal of peaking carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060, intep has been invited to offer online courses on the theme of “Sustainable Building” for students and faculty.

In the coming weeks, four lessons for ZUST-Students will take place, with the following topics:

  • Sustainable building and certification systems
  • Overview of building energy saving in Germany: Policy, standards, technologies and measures
  • Materials Re-use concept
  • Modular building

On May 11, intep held its first lesson on “Sustainable Building and Certification Systems” in cooperation with ZUST. In this online lesson, Dr. Feng Lu-Pagenkopf, Senior Consultant of Intep, and Mr. Jilong Zhu, General Manager of Intep’s Beijing office, introduced the concept of green buildings and its development history to the students. In addition, international mainstream sustainable building certification systems, such as LEED, DGNB, Passiv-house and Minergie, were introduced and compared to each other.

Through the course, intep strengthens its partnership with Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, showcasing its know-how in the field of “sustainable building” to students and the faculty, further expanding intep’s influence in China and contributing to achieving China’ climate protection goals.
