Future of the Wood Value Chain in East Wuerttemberg (German only)
The study “Future of the Wood Value Chain in East Württemberg” focuses on the development and optimization of the wood value chain in the East Württemberg region, which plays a key role in the regional economy and the statewide forest-wood-paper cluster. Its objective is to enhance the wood value chain through identifying strengths, weaknesses, and offering future-oriented recommendations.
The report aims to support a sustainable and climate-resilient wood industry, focusing on empowering and raising awareness among stakeholders, optimizing structures and processes, and promoting continuous knowledge exchange and innovation.
This study is based on the “Wood Value Chain East Württemberg” study. To identify opportunities and obstacles, focus group discussions and expert interviews were conducted. These results were analyzed and organized into an action plan that outlines concrete steps for implementing and evaluating the measures. A five-year action plan was developed, recommending a mix of measures to strengthen the wood value chain in East Wuerttemberg.
