What This Policy Covers

This policy explains what personal data intep collects when you visit this website, how intep uses that data, and what rights you have. Personal data is any information that can identify an individual, such as a name, email address, or IP address.

The processing is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where applicable, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).

Intep treats your data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. Complete protection of data transmitted over the internet, for example by email, cannot be guaranteed by technical means.

3. What Data intep Collects

3.1 When You Visit the Website (Server Log Files)

When you access this website, the hosting provider IONOS automatically records technical data in log files:

pages visited

date and time of access

amount of data transferred in bytes

referring source

browser used

operating system used

IP address

Intep processes this data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a reliable website). For details on hosting, see Section 5.1.

3.2 When You Contact Us

When you contact intep through the contact form, by email, phone, or fax, intep stores:

your name and contact details

the content of your inquiry

any additional information you provide voluntarily

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR if your inquiry relates to a contract or its preparation. In all other cases, intep relies on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in handling inquiries effectively) or, if you have given explicit consent, on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time.

3.3 When You Subscribe to the Newsletter

To send the newsletter, intep needs your email address and confirmation that you own this address and agree to receive the newsletter. Any additional information is voluntary.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the end of every newsletter. Delivery is handled by Mailchimp, see Section 5.4.

Marketing to existing customers: If you have provided your email address as a customer, intep may use it to send information about similar services (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR in conjunction with Section 7 (3) of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG)). You can object to this at any time.

3.4 When You Apply for a Job

When you apply to intep (by email, mail, or online form), intep processes the application materials, contact details, and notes from job interviews. The legal basis is Section 26 BDSG, Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, and where applicable your consent under Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

During the application process, intep may research publicly available information about you (Google search, LinkedIn, Xing) on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

Within the company, only people involved in the recruitment process have access. If your application is successful, intep stores the data to manage the employment relationship. If your application is rejected or withdrawn, intep stores the data for six months after the end of the process and then deletes it, unless legal proceedings are pending.

3.5 When You Join an Online Meeting

When you communicate with intep via audio or video conference (Microsoft Teams, see Section 5.7), the relevant provider records:

your contact details (email address, phone number where applicable)

meeting metadata (start, duration, end, number of participants)

technical data (IP address, MAC address, device ID, device type, operating system, connection type)

shared content (chat, shared files, recordings, whiteboards), where used

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR if the meeting serves contract preparation or performance, otherwise Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient communication).

4. How intep Uses This Data

Intep processes the data collected for the following purposes:

providing this website in a technically reliable form

handling your inquiries and orders

preparing and performing contracts

sending the newsletter, subject to prior consent

conducting recruitment processes

analyzing usage to optimize the website (only with consent)

protecting against spam and automated access

The applicable legal basis in each case is set out in the relevant section of this policy.

Recipients of personal data: Intep shares your data with external parties only where this is necessary for contract performance, required by law, supported by a legitimate interest, or otherwise legally permitted. Where intep uses processors, contracts under Art. 28 GDPR are in place.agsverarbeitern bestehen entsprechende Verträge nach Art. 28 DSGVO.

5. Tools and Services in Use

5.1 Hosting (IONOS)

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Strasse 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS records the log file data described in Section 3.1. For details on processing by IONOS, see https://www.ionos.de/terms-gtc/terms-privacy.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Where consent has been requested (cookies, access to end devices), Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG.

5.2 Cookies and Consent Management (Borlabs Cookie)

What cookies are: Cookies are small data packets that the browser stores on your device. Session cookies are deleted by the browser at the end of the session; persistent cookies remain stored until you delete them manually. First-party cookies come directly from this website; third-party cookies come from embedded providers.

Which cookies intep uses: Technically necessary cookies for operating the website (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR), and additional cookies only with your consent through the consent banner (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you disable them entirely, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Consent management: Intep uses Borlabs Cookie, provided by Borlabs GmbH, Hamburger Strasse 11, 22083 Hamburg, Germany. Borlabs Cookie stores in a cookie on your device which consents you have given or withdrawn, documenting this in compliance with data protection law. The data is not transmitted to Borlabs.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR (compliance with the legal duty of evidence). Details: https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/.

5.3 Analytics and Advertising (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads)

All three services are provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Tag Manager manages the tracking and analytics tools listed below. The Tag Manager itself does not create profiles, set cookies, or run independent analyses. However, it captures the IP address, which may also be transferred to the United States. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR or, where consent has been given, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG.

Google Analytics analyzes how you use this website, including page views, time spent, operating system, country of origin, and mouse and scroll movements. To recognize users, Google Analytics uses cookies and comparable technologies (such as device fingerprinting). The data is generally transferred to a Google server in the United States.

IP anonymization is enabled: Google shortens your IP address within the EU or EEA before it is transferred to the United States. The data is not combined with other Google data.

You can prevent tracking by installing a browser plug-in: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG (consent). Google’s privacy information: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Google Conversion Tracking measures which actions (clicks, purchases, page views) users take after seeing ads. Intep does not personally identify users through this. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG.

5.4 Newsletter Delivery (Mailchimp)

The newsletter is delivered by The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA, under the name Mailchimp. Recipient data is stored on servers in the United States.

Mailchimp analyzes opening and click behavior in the newsletters sent through web beacons (technical information such as time of access, IP address, browser type, operating system). This data does not allow conclusions about individual recipients; it is used for statistical evaluation only.

If you do not want such evaluation, you can unsubscribe through the link in every newsletter. After you unsubscribe, intep or Mailchimp may store your email address on a suppression list to prevent future mailings (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). You can object to such storage if your interests outweigh those of intep.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent). Details: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.

5.5 Embedded Content (YouTube, Google Maps)

Both services are operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

YouTube delivers embedded videos. When you open a page with a YouTube video, your browser establishes a connection to YouTube servers. YouTube thereby learns which page you have visited and may set cookies or use comparable recognition technologies. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can link your browsing behavior to your profile. You can prevent this by logging out.

Google Maps displays map material. To use the service, Google stores your IP address and generally transfers it to a server in the United States. When Maps is active, your browser also loads Google Fonts into the cache.

Legal basis for both services: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (attractive presentation of online content) or, with consent, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. Privacy information: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

5.6 Spam Protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

The provider is Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

Turnstile checks whether input (for example in contact forms) comes from humans or automated programs. To do so, Turnstile analyzes IP address, time spent, and mouse movements, and transmits the data to Cloudflare.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (protection against spam and bots) or, with consent, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. Details: https://www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-dpa/.

5.7 Online Meetings (Microsoft Teams)

The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. The data collected is described in Section 3.5. Microsoft may transfer data to the United States.

Privacy information: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement.

6. Data Transfers to Third Countries

Several of the providers listed in Section 5 (Google, Mailchimp, Cloudflare, Microsoft) process data in the United States. Intep relies on two mechanisms for these transfers:

EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF): The providers listed are certified under the DPF. The DPF is an agreement between the EU and the United States designed to ensure that European data protection standards apply when data is processed in the United States. The certification numbers are:

Google: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780

Mailchimp: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/7693

Cloudflare: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5666

Microsoft: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/6474

Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC): As an additional safeguard, intep relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. The relevant agreements are available here:

Google: https://business.safety.google/adscontrollerterms/sccs/

Mailchimp: https://mailchimp.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/#Annex_C_-_Standard_Contractual_Clauses

Cloudflare: https://www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-scc/

7. Retention Periods

Intep stores personal data only as long as the relevant processing purpose requires. Specific retention periods are set out in the relevant sections of this policy. Longer storage may be required in the following cases:

statutory retention obligations, for example under tax or commercial law

the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims

suppression lists to prevent future mailings after newsletter unsubscription

If you make a legitimate request for deletion or withdraw a consent, intep deletes your data unless other legal grounds require continued storage.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights toward intep:

Access (Art. 15 GDPR): You can request information about the origin, recipients, and purpose of your stored data, free of charge, at any time.

Rectification and erasure (Art. 16, 17 GDPR): You can request the correction of inaccurate data or the erasure of your data.

Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You can request restriction of processing, for example if you contest the accuracy of your data, the processing is unlawful, intep no longer needs the data but you need it to defend legal claims, or an objection under Art. 21 GDPR is still being assessed. Restricted data may be processed only with your consent or for narrowly defined legal purposes, apart from being stored.

Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You can request that intep release the data processed automatically on the basis of your consent or a contract in a common, machine-readable format, or transmit it directly to another controller, where this is technically feasible.

Withdrawal of consent: You can withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal is not affected.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where intep processes data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. e or f GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Intep will then no longer process the data, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

You can object to the processing of your data for direct marketing at any time; this also applies to any related profiling. After you object, intep will no longer use your data for direct marketing.

Complaint: You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time, in particular in the member state where you reside, work, or where the alleged infringement took place.

For all rights mentioned above and further questions about data protection, you can contact intep using the contact details in Section 1.

9. Technical Security

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the lock icon in the address bar and the prefix “https://” instead of “http://”. When encryption is active, third parties cannot read the data transmitted between your browser and the server.

For particularly sensitive content, intep recommends sending information by post, since even encrypted email transmission may have security gaps.

Last updated: April 2026

Inhaltsverzeichnis 1.
