The certification for 2000-Watt sites is time-limited and must be periodically reviewed and recertified during the development, implementation, and operational phases, similar to the Energiestadt label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It allows project developers and builders to publicly demonstrate their commitment to sustainable construction and operation and supports municipalities in enforcing sustainability goals through special land-use plans.
