Climate Protection Law and Climate Adaptation Law

Climate protection and adaptation to the consequences of climate change are urgent tasks for society as a whole. While climate protection encompasses measures to mitigate climate change by reducing anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere, climate adaptation measures aim to adapt to a changing climate and its consequences.

The legal aspects of climate protection and climate adaptation play a prominent role in our consulting and research work. Our expertise includes the assessment of the legal framework for climate protection and climate adaptation measures and the submission of amendment proposals for the further development of existing legal regulations. In particular, there is a considerable need for research into the regulation of climate adaptation measures. We focus in particular on the consideration of climate protection and climate adaptation aspects in spatial planning and in planning approval processes for projects.
