Sustainable Building in China

June 25th 2021 | Jilong Zhu

In order to promote the development of green and smart building in China and help to achieve the peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality goals, the China Academy of Building Research (CABR), in collaboration with China Foreign Trade Centre (CFTC) and China Construction Industry Association (CCIA), organized the “China Building Science Conference and Green Intelligent Building Expo” from the 24th to 27th of June at the National Convention and Exhibition Centre in Tianjin.

During this conference, Intep’s partner, the Green Design Association, organized a forum on the theme “International Green Design for Carbon Neutrality.” In the first half of the forum, experts from Intep, the German Energy Agency, the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the China Railway Fifth Survey and Design Institute shared their views and experiences on how to achieve carbon neutrality through green design. Mr. Jilong Zhu, General Manager of Intep Beijing, gave a presentation on “Integrated Planning and Zero Carbon.”

Intep is committed to promoting the development of zero carbon buildings and zero carbon parks through an integrated planning approach. Over the next four to eight years, intep will use its Swiss knowledge to promote the development of zero carbon buildings in China together with its Chinese partner, the China Academy of Building Research.

The second half of the forum was dedicated to a company roadshow, where companies such as Polybo from Norway and Ava Micro Energy and Nongzheng Qimin (Tianjin) Technology from China presented their latest technical solutions and products. In addition, the forum was divided into two parts, online and offline, with nearly 100 professionals on site and over 3,000 people attending the forum online.
