René Sigg has been part of intep since 1988 and has played a key role in shaping the company’s development. From 1997 to 2024, he served as CEO, guiding intep’s transformation into an internationally recognized consulting and research firm for sustainable development.
His career combines technical expertise with strategic vision: after earning an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and completing postgraduate studies in Environmental Sciences at the University of Zurich, René pursued advanced executive education. At the Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota), he specialized in strategy, sustainability, and artificial intelligence in management, while also expanding his intercultural expertise through a CAS in Chinese Business Management at the University of Zurich.
René brings extensive consulting experience across Europe, North America, and Asia. He is widely recognized as a thought leader in sustainable management and strategy consulting, advising both private enterprises and public institutions. With a strong commitment to embedding sustainability at the core of organizational strategy, he has helped shape models, norms, and standards in processes, sustainability, and digitalization, providing organizations worldwide with forward-looking solutions.
