Sustainability strategy

The Foundation for Art, Culture and History (SKKG), based in Winterthur, commissioned intep to develop a sustainability strategy and reporting concept. This provides SKKG with a basis for future sustainability reporting and a strategic tool to actively contribute to sustainable development.

The starting point

SKKG is dedicated to preserving and promoting cultural heritage and enabling participation in it. This also includes properties and land managed by Terrestra Immobilien- und Verwaltungs AG, which belongs to the foundation. To fulfil this mission in a world of climatic and social change, the foundation commissioned intep to develop a sustainability strategy. To do so, a shared understanding was first established, the foundation’s needs and requirements were explored in a potential analysis, and fields of action were identified. Building on this, a target vision was developed from which concrete goals and measures could be derived.

Our contribution

With this concept, SKKG now has a sustainability vision, clear goals, and a reporting strategy to implement targeted sustainability reporting. Based on a materiality analysis, intep systematically classified the GRI indicators relevant to SKKG and, where appropriate, also incorporated indicators from other reporting standards.
