New Leadership for a Sustainable Future

For 45 years, intep has stood for pioneering spirit, innovation, and excellence in sustainable development. We take great pride in our history as an international consulting and research company that has played a key role in shaping a more sustainable world.

To actively embrace the challenges of change in the future and further strengthen our position as a leader in innovation, we have decided to pass the company’s leadership into the experienced and visionary hands of the next generation. René Sigg, under whose leadership intep has developed into a leading consultancy and research firm for sustainability over the past 30 years, is handing over the management of the company to Beat Stemmler. With 20 years of leadership experience, extensive international expertise in sustainability strategies, greenhouse gas accounting, and sustainability reporting, as well as a clear vision for intep, Beat Stemmler will play a key role in shaping the company’s further development. René Sigg will remain with us as a Senior Advisor, actively contributing his knowledge and expertise.

Our Zurich office will be led by a co-management team: Martina Alig and Dr. Christian Schmid will jointly take responsibility for further expanding the regional presence in this key market and enhance collaboration with our partners.

The Berlin and Hamburg offices will be led by Dr. Lisa Winter, while the Munich, Frankfurt, and Vienna offices will be managed by Nóra Gazdag. This new leadership structure provides a solid foundation for strategically strengthening our areas of expertise and successfully seizing new opportunities.

In the coming years, we will place a stronger focus on future-oriented areas, including sustainable strategies for organizations, decarbonization and circularity in the construction industry and other sectors, behavioral change in the population, and the use of digital technologies and data analytics to promote sustainable processes and decision-making. Another key priority will be developing resilient strategies for adapting to climate change. Additionally, knowledge transfer and international collaboration will remain central to our work, enabling us to drive sustainable innovation together with our global partners.

We sincerely thank René Sigg for his impactful contributions and dedication to intep. At the same time, we wish Beat Stemmler and the new leadership team great success in their exciting new roles.

Together with you, we look forward to actively shaping the world of tomorrow and driving forward innovative, sustainable solutions.
