Data basis for Dimension Climate M-Check

Migros introduced a sustainability scale for its products. This is listed on all Migros products and shows customers how a product performs in terms of animal welfare or climate in a 1-to-5 rating system. The entire life cycle assessment, from cultivation to packaging, is included in the calculation of climate protection. The so-called M-Check seal was also previously available on the products. Together with Bern University of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences, the life cycle assessment company Treeze and Intep, Migros has now developed it further.

Intep supported Migros in classifying the products into the rating categories and is now working on further improving the key figures for the greenhouse gas rating.
