DGNB certification new building for office, laboratory, daycare center / EU taxonomy conformity assessment (ESG)
The “Medical Science Center” is a project development consisting of six components with over 30,000 m² of floor space, which Aug.Prien Immobilien realized within just a few years. A key objective was to integrate the latest standards for sustainable planning and building operations throughout the development phase.
Research, medical care and a daycare center combined under one roof in the Hamburg district of Langenhorn. Aug.Prien Immobilien developed the three-to-four-story “Medical Science Center” in Hamburg. The complex includes a medical care center, a laboratory building, and a daycare center situated in a heritage-listed building, complemented by a new construction. The site at Essener Strasse 94 – 110 is conveniently located to the north of Hamburg Airport with excellent public transport connections.
Throughout the course of the project, we worked closely with the client, the planning team and the construction management to seamlessly integrate the high sustainability certification standards. This allowed us to successfully handle the audit and documentation for the targeted DGNB Gold certification while also thoroughly reviewing the EU taxonomy requirements. To secure sustainable operations in the long term, we developed a customized operational concept during the planning phase and carefully conducted the tender process for facility and property management services.
